With our new cocktail menu launching at Brix Distillery Bar, we wanted to spotlight some great glassware we are loving from RIEDEL, featuring our new Rum tipples. You'll also find some cocktail wisdom from Brix Beverage Manager, Aiden Fotheringham, about the harmony of unique flavours featured in each new drink.

ROCKS GLASSÂ
The RIEDEL Rocks Glass design caters to the use of a standard large Old Fashioned-style ice cube, sitting comfortably within the glass. The substantial weight of the glass adds a tactile element, enhancing the overall sensory satisfaction as you hold the Viajero in your hand.

METHOD​
1) Add 60ml Brix Australian Rum plus all other ingredients to a mixing glass
2) Stir for 30 seconds to desired dilution, tasting as you goÂ
3) Strain into a RIEDEL Rocks Glass​
4) Garnish with a dried mandarin fan + maraschino cherry
RUM RIBELLIONE

DOUBLE ROCKS GLASSÂ Â
In its larger capacity, the RIEDEL Double Rocks Glass accommodates longer cocktails, providing ample space to experiment with various ice styles + playing with mixer ratios. This glass proves itself as the optimal choice for concocting a Rum Ribellione, a cocktail that calls for a touch of cola to complement the character of the Brix Australian Rum.

METHOD​
1) Add 60ml Brix Australian Rum, 10ml fernet,  15ml honey solution + a splash of lime to a mixing glass​
2) Stir for 30 seconds to desired dilution, tasting as you go​
3) Strain into a RIEDEL Double Rocks Glass​
4) Top with cola + garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel

2) Stir for 30 seconds to desired dilution, tasting as you goÂ
3) Strain into a RIEDEL Nick & Nora glass ​
4) Garnish with a lemon twist
TARTE AUX CASISS

SOUR GLASSÂ
The RIEDEL Sour Glass lends itself to this fat wash take on a sour perfectly. The Sour Glass shape shows you the lovely layering and cascading you want out of a sour, and the flair lip ensures you get that nice creamy head delivered through the whole drink.Â

"When sipping a good sour you expect that smooth creamy mouthfeel, so with a butter fat wash added to the Brix Australian Rum, we have doubled down on that expectation. 1) Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker & fill with iceÂ
2) Shake hard until the shaker becomes ice coldÂ
3) Strain into a RIEDEL Sour GlassÂ
4) Garnish with a bespoke bitters pattern
