BOOKINGS

BOILERMAKER
NIGHT
Stories are murky as to how the boilermaker first came into existence, but it’s pretty clear it was originally consumed by blue collar workers at the end of a long shift.
It’s believed the drink takes its name from the workers who built and maintained steam locomotives in the 1800s. These workers were known to head to the bar at the end of a shift, take a shot of whiskey followed by a crisp, cool beer. It quickly become a staple for boilermakers after a hard day.
Every month, in honour of this tradition, we feature a different local craft brewery and match their beers with our Brix rums. Our boilermaker specials run all month, but the perfect pairings culminate in one night of fun & frivolity.

Mountain Goat started out back in 1997 when two mates, Dave & Cam, decided they wanted better tasting beers and were determined to do something about it. Dave discovered great beer after time in the US and Europe and took up home brewing to try and recreate them. When Cam had a similar epiphany in Vancouver, he sent Dave the now famous postcard with the message ‘We’ve gotta talk... let’s open a brewery’.
It’s been an incredible twenty six years for Mountain Goat. Whilst they have seen a lot of change, the things very dear to them haven’t changed at all.
They continue to champion what they have always believed in – good beer with good folks doing great stuff. Cheers!
So, join us as our we combine forces for one night of great local drinks, special releases, tasty food, and a few words from both camps on distilling & brewing. See you there!
