 BIG BAD BOILERMAKER BONANZA NIGHT

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we round out the year with a new event, the Big Bad Brix Boilermaker Bonanza. On Thursday, 7th December, we're bringing together some of Sydney's finest Rum distilleries and breweries including Archie Rose, Karu, Solander Rum, Yulli's Brews, Wayward Brewing + Willie the Boatman.

The evening will be a sensory journey through Sydney's craft drink scene whilst honouring the great boilermaker tradition of pairing a Rum with a crisp, cool beer after a hard days work.

You'll taste an offering from each brand, served as an irresistible boilermaker combination, whilst hearing from the distillers & brewers themselves as they deep dive into the story behind their craft.

So, join us for this one-of-a-kind event and indulge in a night of magnificent pairings, fun + frivolity.

ABOUT THE BOILERMAKER

Stories are murky as to how the boilermaker first came into existence, but it’s pretty clear it was originally consumed by blue collar workers at the end of a long shift.

It’s believed the drink takes its name from the workers who built and maintained steam locomotives in the 1800s. These workers were known to head to the bar at the end of a shift, take a shot of whisky followed by a crisp, cool beer. It quickly became a staple for boilermakers after a hard day.

Every month, in honour of this tradition, we feature a different local craft brewery and match their beers with our Brix rums. Our boilermaker specials run all month, but the perfect pairings culminate in one night of fun & frivolity.

So, join us as our we combine forces for one night of great craft drinks, special releases, tasty food, and a few words from both camps on distilling & brewing. See you there!
