2021 TRAIL MIX IN COLLABORATION WITH THREE BLUE DUCKS

2021 LIMITED RELEASE 

Australian rum infused with locally grown & foraged produce from Three Blue Ducks. 

With their focus on sustainability, use of local ingredients and passion for food & good mates, it made sense for Brix to team up with the Three Blue Ducks crew for our latest Trail Mix 2021 release. 

Beginning with Brix Shiraz Barrel Aged Rum, distilled from local molasses & aged in Surry Hills, we infused ginger from The Ducks' farm in Byron Bay, cumquats from their Rosebery urban garden, honey from the beehive at their Bronte café, along with coffee grounds & orange peel, which are bi-products from their bars & kitchens around Australia. 

The addition of native riberry & kakadu plum, as well as Aussie grown mango & vanilla add balance, roundness & body resulting in a delicious Spiced Rum, perfect for sipping, food pairing & cocktails.

About Three Blue Ducks

The Ducks is a great story of food, born in the surf! It all started with three good mates travelling the world, cultivating ideas around a better, more sustainable approach to eating and living. During this time, with a shared belief for cooking food that is delicious and ethical, Three Blue Ducks was hatched.

 

They now have restaurants in Bronte, Rosebery, Byron Bay, Nimbo, Melbourne and Brisbane, comitted to local farms and working with honest suppliers who have the best quality produce.

We've put a Duck's spin on the classic Tiki cocktail, 'Jungle Bird.' Visit our bar in Surry Hills to try, or grab yourself a bottle of Trail Mix to make at home!

 

You'll need:

45ml Trail Mix

15ml Poor Tom's Imbroglio

30ml Fresh Lime Juice

45ml Pineapple Juice

Shake, strain into a highball over ice.

Garnish with a cherry and a lime wheel, and enjoy!

'chet baker' trail mix cocktail

A modern classic cocktail with the perfect flavour combo of zest and sweetness. Ask our Brix bar staff to whip one up for you, or test out your cocktail skills at home!

 

You'll need:

45ml Trail Mix

15ml Sweet Vermouth

15ml Honey Syrup

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Stir down, strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with an orange twist, serve, and drink!
